A very warm welcome to this, my football blog. I hope you find it both enjoyable and rewarding.
The views expressed are my own and are derived from being an absolute passionate football fan since the age of about 7.
It is fair to say I am 'football nuts'. I support Chelsea FC ( they were my dads team) I follow both Arsenal and AFC Wimbledon. Why these two? ~ Well from a very early age, I loved Arsenal and everything about them. AFC Wimbledon, well they were the team closest to where my mum frew up and when Chelsea weren't playing at home, then I used to trot off with my mates to Watch the dons at the now defunct plough lane.
Elsewhere on this blog, you will find my own views on the controversial move from Selhurst Park to Milton Keynes.
What type of football do I like? ~ Thats simple enough, Barcelonas ticky, tacky football, because in my view Barceloina play the game the way the game should be played and I have a very simplistic view of how the game should be played, which is outlined below
To win a game of football, you need to outscore the opposistion, Yes I know its obvious, but that is how you do it.
To win a game of football, you also have to be attack minded, with a good defence. A good defence is in my opinion equal to another point or three being earned when your team is under the cosh
To coin a well used football phrase,Football is a game of two halves, but with a slight twist, Football is a game of two parts...
the part with the ball and the part without the ball and both are equally as important as the other.
With the ball you can win games. Without the ball you can't : )
So when the ball is lost you work as hard as you can to win it back and then attack, shooting at every opportunity.
On a personal level I am married to the love of my life and have been for a while, I am very lucky in that I can watch most football on TV, because she finds it 'inoffensive' ; )
